Upcoming Summer Programs, Jobs & More


Prelaw Undergraduate Scholars Program 

This is a three-week intensive program targeted, but not restricted, to college students from racial and ethnic minority groups who are underrepresented in the legal profession. Students from rural communities or who are the first in their family to attend college are also encouraged to apply. 
There will be 14 students selected from the competitive application pool to be housed, fed, and paid a $750 stipend during this program. Applications will close on March 23rd.To apply and learn more click here.
EXPLORE LAW 2020 - MAY 18 - 22, 2020
Are you thinking about going to law school? Are you choosing between law and another graduate program? Do you need more information about law school admission, the LSAT, law school classes or legal career paths?
Join us for Explore Law, a tuition-free, residency program held at Penn State Law in University Park, Pa., available to any undergraduate student--regardless of location, major, or residence--who is interested in learning more about law school. Explore Law will give you the opportunity to learn about multiple fields of law and myriad law careers from law professors, judges, and practicing attorneys. Deadline to apply is March 23, 2020. Are you an aspiring law student from an underrepresented racial, ethnic and socioeconomic background? LexScholars participants will benefit from access to various resources, including LSAT preparation; law school admission counseling; financial education; wellness training; and writing skills development. Thinking about law school? The Duke Law D.C. Summer Institute on Law and Policy is a great way to try it before you buy it, and an opportunity to learn from premier Duke Law faculty — without ever leaving Washington.
Course offerings in the 2020 Duke Law D.C. Summer Institute on Law and Policy focus on topics important to future law students and lawyers including an introduction to thinking like a lawyer, a course on succeeding as a law student, and an introduction to constitutional law. Registration is now open.

Americorps Legal Advocates of Massacusetts
AmeriCorps Legal Advocates of Massachusetts is a national service program which places college and law school graduates in legal aid organizations throughout Massachusetts to serve low-income clients. The program is seeking applicants for Advocate for Legal Rights positions for the 2020-2021 year. This is a great opportunity for any college graduate considering a career in public interest law. Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation and Institute-Paid Internships
In the newly revamped program, interns take on duties that are integral to the success of our Student Leadership Program, a week-long leadership camp for high school students.We are looking for motivated individuals to work as part of a small team in a dynamic, professional setting while earning college credit as determined by the intern’s university. Your work will focus on facilitation and mentoring our high school level Student Leadership Program (SLP) participants as they learn the various skills needed to create lasting change in their communities. Domestic Violence Survivors Justice Act
The Criminal Appeals Bureau (CAB) of The Legal Aid Society is looking for a student intern to assist with projects related to the newly enacted Domestic Violence Survivors Justice Act (“DVSJA”), which enables survivors of domestic violence who meet certain criteria to apply for a reduction in their sentence.
