Jason Wolfe Secures Top Marks in Customer Service
Jason Wolfe (he/him) with the TSA, received this compliment from a member of the PDX canine therapy program after they observed him helping during a screening procedure and comforting a distressed traveler:
"TSA Officer Jason Wolfe was absolutely incredible. I had a student traveling with a paper ID – already a challenge – and then his bag did not pass inspection. Officer Wolfe was incredibly kind and helpful even after having to call the Port of Portland Police to inspect the bag.
He continued to impress when a distraught passenger approached him, upset and concerned because her flight was delayed, and she would likely miss her connecting flight. She explained she was traveling for a family member’s memorial service. Jason went above and beyond and got her airline’s number and offered comfort. He is valuable employee and deserving of recognition."

Girls in Aviation Takes Flight at PDX
Last weekend, United Airlines hosted Girls in Aviation Day for the Girl Scouts of Oregon and Southwest Washington. Partners at the Port of Portland joined in to make the day fun, educational and uplifting for the nearly 50 participating scouts. Attendees explored the ins and out of the airport, took behind-the-scenes tours and met with women in the aviation industry. Thanks to everyone who helped make this inspiring event happen and encouraged these girls to explore careers in STEM and aviation.
