Our residents enjoyed a great time at the Louisville Bats game at Slugger Field. A special recognition of Day Spring's attendance appeared on the score board! Good times were had by all!
Movement and Music
Our residents love learning different steps to popular dances. This activity is a perfect way to make memories and build community.
With a beautiful array of beads, residents made necklaces and bracelets. They wore these unique baubles home for their friends and family to admire!
Family Home Provider Luau
Our Family Home Providers (FHP) and participants enjoyed a luau-style party to show Day Spring's appreciation on June 24th. We kicked off summer with a cookout for our FHPs and their families! These caregivers are an elite group of amazing people who care for adults with disabilities in their homes just like family. We deepened relationships and bonded over some sand art and hot dogs.

Day Spring participated in the 2nd Annual New Albany Disability Resource Fair. What a wonderful experience! Day Spring and the College for Living enjoyed meeting new friends, families, and fellow service providers. Connections were made with community members while sharing information and resources for individuals with disabilities.

Grants Awarded by The Kentucky Colonels
and The Cralle Foundation
On June 16, Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels awarded 3.1 million in grants supporting 343 non-profits, including Day Spring. Grants are made possible through donations made by the Kentucky Colonels throughout the Commonwealth and around the world. Lauren Hays, Day Spring CEO, accepted $6,000 in partial funding for audio visual and technology needs for the event and training center. The Cralle Foundation generously awarded $5,000 to support the mission of Day Spring. We are truly grateful.
As Day Spring finishes our fiscal year, I reflect on advancements and accomplishments made by our dedicated board and staff. While we focused efforts on quality improvements and best practices, we were able to launch an Arts & Wellness resident program and increased enrollment in our College for Living programs. We are proud to receive accolades from our recent state audit and are excited to enter the new fiscal year with visions of serving more IDD adults in our community.
Thank you for giving your time, your financial gifts, and your voice in support of adults with disabilities. I invite you to tour our campus and meet the wonderful people living at Day Spring. To schedule, please send me an email. Your support means the world to us.
