July Fundraiser
Brown Dog's Founder experienced a great loss on May 18, 2020. A beloved friend and supporter of her vision with Brown Dog Foundation passed away unexpectedly.
"I first met Nick Ritchie in 2010 when he attended a Brown Dog Foundation event to raise money for Flood Victims. It was like finding a piece of my heart that had been missing. He was the kindest soul and we became immediate friends. Throughout the years, Nick volunteered to help with many of our events, always attending when he could," Carol told us.
As his mother, Olga, and special friends, Jen and Marshall, began planning his memorial services, all agreed that Nick would want trees planted to save our environment and donations in lieu of flowers to be sent to Brown Dog Foundation to save family pets. In addition to his love of music, Nick was impassioned about saving our environment and being kind to animals.
To honor our friend we've established the Nick & Gracie Ritchie Memorial Fund. Gracie was Nick's beloved pet who passed just one year before him. The Fund will accept contributions year around.
We understand the life situations of many are not where they were a year ago. Any amount you are able to contribute in memory of Nick and Gracie, enables us to help save another family pet.
Thank you to all who have donated in the past, who donate today and to those who will donate in the future! You are the backbone of our work. Without your support we could not continue to "bridge the gap!"
