Master the essential tips & tricks of Adobe Premiere Pro.  Come learn key techniques to get started editing your video and audio project. Your video/audio skills will be enhanced with useful tips, tricks, terms, and shortcut tools to assemble a sequence in Adobe Premiere Pro timeline. Video and Audio will be provided in the workshop.

The ART Lighting 
Light is Emotion. The feel of your photography will create an emotion depending upon the lighting set-up and conditions. Learn three lighting techniques and why it’s such an important tool for your projects.  The three types of lighting covered and practiced in the workshop will include: Split, Rembrandt, and Short and Board lighting.

JOURNALISM SCHOLARSHIP FOR AMERICAN MUSLIMS
The Islamic Scholarship Fund offers scholarships for American Muslim undergraduate and graduate students majoring in Journalism with the goal of increasing representation in media and politics in order to improve public opinion and public policy.

GWABJ PRESENTS: RECLAIMING THE MIC
In honor of this year's Black Heritage celebration, the George Washington University Association of Black Journalists will host a conversation with nationally syndicated radio personality Angela Yee of "The Breakfast Club."
Yee will discuss radio and digital journalism, the current state of hip-hop music and more. SMPA alumna Zinhle Essamuah will moderate.

The Institute for Data, Democracy & Politics (IDDP) and Craig Silverman (Buzzfeed News) will examine the forms of media manipulation, trolling, and disinformation that are intended to influence the public in this talk.

The QTJA is a student organization of "journalists, media professionals, educators and students who work within the news industry to foster fair and accurate coverage of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer issues." The interest form to join this org is now open.
