AlertVU:

Sign up for AlertVU by adding your contact information into Your Enrollment Services (YES) by August 15 for AlertVU notifications.
AlertVU notifies you about urgent safety issues, such as severe weather or emergencies on campus.
Check and update your contact information in the YES portal to ensure you receive these messages.

VUPS:

Vanderbilt University Public Safety (VUPS) is dedicated to the protection and security of Vanderbilt University and its diverse community and includes the Vanderbilt University Police Department (VUPD).

VandySafe:

Download the VandySafe App for quick access to campus safety services, including:

Calling or texting Vanderbilt Police (VUPD)
Submitting safety iReports and sharing locations with VUPD
Using the "virtual walk home" feature

The app works on and off-campus and is helpful when waiting for the bus or getting to or from bus stops.

Emergency Phones:

Emergency phones are located throughout the campus and are recognizable by the blue light on the pole.
When you press the button, it connects you directly with the Vanderbilt University Police Department Dispatch Center. An open line on any emergency phone will activate a priority response from an officer.
An officer will be sent to check on the phone user, even if nothing is communicated to the dispatcher.

Emergency Preparedness:

The emergency preparedness website provides guidance for when emergencies occur on campus and offers disaster preparedness materials and resources. We recommend you familiarize yourself with the Emergency Guidelines.

Cybersecurity:

Be aware of scam emails that try to steal personal information. Scammers often use emails, text messages, and other channels to advertise fake job opportunities to steal personal information from students. We recommend you review the Cybersecurity and Scam Awareness websites.

Electric golf carts are available to provide rides for those with medical or accessibility needs. To request rides, contact Student Access through the online portal or at 615-343-9727.

Please review the linked information about how to purchase a parking permit. Parking permits can be purchased beginning on August 5.

VandyRide:

The VandyRide shuttle provides nighttime shuttle service to designated locations on campus from 5:30 p.m. to 1:00 a.m., every day classes are in session during the spring and fall semesters. Download the Passio GO App for instant access to route information and stop locations on Android and IOS. For the safety of passengers and drivers, pick-up and drop-off will be at designated shuttle stop locations only. Students who stop vehicles outside of designated shuttle locations may be reported for disciplinary action. Learn more about VandyRide.

Free Public Transit:

All students get free and unlimited access to WeGo Public Transit (local and regional buses, commuter rail, and paratransit services).

Use the “QuickTicket by WeGo” app to ride for free.
Check your Vanderbilt email for registration instructions.

WeGo Access Ride:

WeGo Access is a publicly funded paratransit service that offers specialized vans for persons with disabilities in Davidson County who are unable to use fixed-route transit service. To apply for WeGo Access, complete the PDF application on their website.

Ridehail Services:

Ridehail services like Uber and Lyft can be used on campus. There are eight designated pick-up and drop-off locations around campus. Learn more about ridehail locations and the safety guidelines.
