Greetings from Nashville! Summer is in full swing at Lipscomb, and we’ve already welcomed many of our newest Bison families during three New Student Orientations this month. It’s been such a joy to meet them and share in their excitement for the fall.

Campus has remained lively with a variety of camps, while our service operations team is hard at work preparing residence halls and facilities for everyone’s return in August. In the coming weeks, our office will be hosting Summer Send-Off events in several cities. These events are wonderful opportunities for families to connect, catch up and welcome those joining the Lipscomb community this fall. We hope to see you at one of these special gatherings!

Upcoming Key Dates
Purchase your tickets for July 18 Lipscomb Night at the Sounds
Join your fellow Bisons for Lipscomb Night with the Nashville Sounds and cheer on our hometown team as it hosts the Indianapolis Indians!
Visit with Lipscomb representatives who will greet you on the plaza as you enter First Horizon Park. Stop by the Alumni & Parent Engagement table and snag some giveaways! Watch Sam Phalen (’22), runner-up on season 47 of the television show "Survivor," throw out the first pitch, and meet him on the concourse. Enjoy a fun night of baseball in Music City as well as the fireworks that cap off the night's festivities!
Tickets for the Lipscomb community are $17.87 and $23.86; taxes and fees included.The Lipscomb Office of Alumni & Parent Engagement will add a $10 concessions voucher to each ticket you purchase. You don't want to miss this fun night in Nashville with your Bison family!

SUMMER SEND-OFFS

The Office of Parent Engagement is traveling this summer to several cities with higher populations of incoming students to host Summer Send-Offs. These events are fun, laid back events that give incoming Lipscomb students and families a chance to meet each other and current students and families in your area. If you are in a city close by, please consider attending and helping welcome our newest Bisons to the Herd!

Join us for the Parent Prayer Zoom on Tuesday, July 1! During the summer months we will continue to have our monthly prayer Zooms on the first Tuesday of the month. The August parent prayer Zoom is Aug. 5. Current Lipscomb parents Ron and Suellen Moen will be leading the online events this summer. These prayer gatherings are a great way to stay connected with Lipscomb families and to continue to pray over our students.

Save the Date: Nov. 13-15, 2025
Mark your calendar for Bisons Weekend on Nov. 13-15! Bisons Weekend is Lipscomb University’s version of family weekend and homecoming that happens in one huge event. Events for all ages take place each day.
Partner Hotels. Lipscomb has partnered with several hotels in Nashville to offer special rates for our guests. Check out this list of hotels that offer a "Lipscomb discount" rate, and make your reservations!
