osa RAINFOREST ECO TOURS
CORCOVADO NATIONAL PARK
GUIDED DAY-HIKE
(Included in your package)

Visit the wild and beautiful Corcovado National Park with Erick, our professional guide born and raised on the Osa Peninsula. Corcovado is one of 28 National Parks and is considered the crown jewel of the country. Erick will tell you everything you'll need to know about the history of the park and will guide you on this daylong hike to find exotic wildlife. (You may spot everything from large forest cats like pumas to small amphibians like glass frogs.) Your lunch and entrance fee to the park are included in this tour. 

*NOTE that since March 2014, entry into the Park is only permitted with a licenced guide. No transporation is required as the park is accessible by foot from Finca Exotica Ecolodge.

HORSEBACK RIDING
(min 4 people) $55 per person

Follow our local Costa Rican guide  up mountains and deep into the rainforest. See stunning views of the ocean and Corcovado National Park in the distance. Ride under the jungle canopy where you can encounter monkeys, tropical birds and many other species. Riding provides a great opportunity to unwind and truly enjoy the wonders of the rainforest. Half-day tour either am or pm.

LAGOON KAYAKING
(min 2 people) $45USD per person 

This fully guided kayak tour is done on a beautiful nearby lagoon, a 20-minute walk from Finca Exotica Ecolodge. Embark on an open-faced kayak to explore the calm waters as you discover numerous aquatic species. You can spot various species of birds and lizards as well as american crocodiles and caymans! (Yes, we said crocodiles but the scared kind. All good.) This activity is done in the late afternoon, a perfect time to return on the beach and watch the sunset.

DOLPHIN BOAT TOUR & WILDLIFE REFUGE VISIT 
(min 5 people) $75USD per person + a $25USD donation to the refuge

Visit the small town of Puerto Jimenez and embark on a half-day boat tour of the Golfo Dulce, known as one of the deepest tropical fjords in the world. This is a place where humpback whales come from both poles to have their young in the warm tropical waters and where three species of dolphins can be spotted year round. Swim with colorful fish and discover an underwater paradise. Visit a local refuge only accessible by boat where animals are rescued from captivity to be released into the wild. Have the rare opportunity to interact with monkeys, sloths, birds and more. This is a trip not to be missed.

MIRAMAR ZIP LINE CANOPY TOUR
(min 4 people) $75 USD per person

Zip from seven different platforms over the jungle canopy. See incredible views and wildlife as you glide through the trees on lines as long as 1200 feet! This tour is safe for all ages. Approximately one hour in duration depending on the size of the group.

WATERFALL RAPPELING TOUR
(min 4 people) $95 per person


Have you ever tried rappelling? If so, you know how exciting it can be, and if not, well here's your chance! Our professional guides at El Remanso will lead you through the rainforest to a four-tier waterfall and will prepare you for your rappel against a torrent of raging waters and the thrill of a lifetime.This tour lasts about 4 hours, with two professional guides and involves hiking.

SURFING IN MATAPALO
(min 4 people) $55 per person 

Visit Matapalo, a 45-minute drive from Carate for some of the best waves in the area. There are three different beaches perfect for all skill levels. For beginners, try a lesson with local professional surfers from Pollo Surf School. This activity includes all of the equipment, a yummy packed lunch and lots of sun. Time of tour depends on tides.

TREE CLIMBING IN MATAPALO
(min 2 people) $65 per person 

Everyday Adventures has sponsored this signature extreme guided tour for over fourteen years, and it continues to be one of the most sought after guided activities in the whole region.  Scale the largest original jungle gym in the forest! You are top roped while climbing an enormous, user-friendly Strangler Fig, roughly 70 feet to a viewing roost 450 feet over the Golfo Dulce. Level of difficulty determined by the "root" you select (pun intended). After exploring the lofty perch and view of the ocean, an exhilarating freefall/swing brings you safely back to the earth.

CORCOVADO NATIONAL PARK
THREE DAY EXPEDITION
(min 2 people) $385 per person*

Join Erick on a three-day/two-night trek into the famous Corcovado National Park. Hike 19 kilometers into the rainforest, where you will wade through shallow rivers, cross long stretches of beach and hike beneath the rainforest canopy. Here you will have the rare opportunity to spot incredible wildlife such as tapirs, anteaters, sloths, armadillos, coatis and more. If you're lucky, you might even spot a puma. 
 
NOTE that this three-day trek includes all park fees, guide, meals and accommodation. Recommended as an add-on at the end of your stay. Please confirm your interest at time of booking. Reservations are subject to availability. *Prices may increase without prior notice and can only be officially confirmed at time of booking.
TRANSPORTATION

Transportation cost varies depending on the site of the activiy. The cost is generally around $20 per person one way based on four people sharing. If less than four people, there will be an additional fee for transportation as the cost is divided by the number of people participating. Note that all prices are in US dollars. 

RESERVATIONS & PAYMENTS

All tours can be arranged once on site. There is no commitment needed in advance. Payment for the tours is done at the beginning of your stay in USD cash so please bring sufficient amount of money to cover your optional tours. Tours are non-refundable unless cancelled by the provider due to weather. Note that some tours may not be available if we do not have the minimum number of poeple required. That being said, in most cases, we can organize any tours only that the price of the tour and the transportation would likely be more than what is listed above.

WHAT NEXT?
 
Many other activities are available on site such as surfing, boogie boarding, fishing, daily morning yoga and guided hikes... all of which are included in your package. Remember that you can always explore the area in smaller groups, as the trails are easy to follow. However, please be aware of your surroundings at all times and always remember to look down before you look up.... you might be standing on the trail of leafcutter ants. Ouch.
