Library Databases for Your Research Assignment
SAGE eJournal Collection
In addition to research articles, SAGE also provides important readings in the field of education for professional development learning. This is the place to start to conduct your literature reviews! You can find scholarly articles on a variety of topics in the field of education. 
ERIC
From the U.S. Department of Education, Educational Resource Information Center, ERIC provides 1.5 million records of journal articles, research reports, curriculum and teaching guides. When searching, please be sure to click on “Full text available on ERIC.” This database is also recommended to conduct basic literature searches.

If there are resources that are not included in the databases above, please contact us and we can consider adding them into the collection. All Alder residents should have received an email regarding username/password access to these databases from the librarian, Ray Pun. Action Research Class Tip
Residents can access The Reflective Educator’s Guide to Classroom Research as an e-book in the OverDrive database.
Once you sign into OverDrive, type the title of the book and it should appear in your search as the first item. There are 91 copies available and each ebook loan period is 7 days. You may renew to access the book after your 7 day loan. If you can’t find your username/password, please send an email to the librarian, Ray Pun at (rpun@aldergse.org).
