Dear parents and families of WashU Class of 2028,

We hope you all have had a wonderful start to Parent & Family Orientation, and that your student is starting to feel settled here at WashU.

Tomorrow is the last day of Parent & Family Orientation. We hope to see you at our table at the Resource Fair to say hello and give you a free WashU car decal! While you are there, your student can pick up a free WashU t-shirt from the University Advancement: Class & University Programs table.

We have enjoyed having you all on campus and wish you safe travels home! 

Keep an eye out for more information about Parent & Family Weekend, which will be from November 1 - November 3, 2024. Parent & Family Weekend registration will go live on Monday, September 9 at Noon CT. You will be able to register on our families website.

The sessions will be recorded, and Parents as Partners will also be livestreamed. The livestream link for Parents as Partners will be available on the families website. All recordings will be uploaded late next week to the families website.

Resource Fair & Lunch Rotation: Noon - 3:00 PM

Please attend the rotation that corresponds with the first letter of your student's last name. The first rotation is from Noon - 1:30 PM, and the second from 1:30 PM - 3:00 PM. Please refer to the schedule for more information about your family's recommended rotation. (Note: the printed schedule incorrectly lists both rotations as Noon - 1:30 PM.)

Scholar Champion Family Welcome Reception: 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM

If your student is a new varsity athletic team member and your family is attending this welcome reception, please attend the Resource Fair during the Noon - 1:30 PM rotation.

Fall Welcome will begin the evening of Move-In Day and conclude the evening of Saturday, August 24. During Fall Welcome, your student will meet with their WUSA small group, engage in academic experiences, and participate in a long-standing university tradition: Convocation. 

Fall Welcome is a busy time on campus, especially during lunch. Plan ahead and learn more about dining location hours and tips to navigate meals during this busy time by checking the Fall Welcome Dining Hours. Most campus orders are now made through the Grubhub app. If you do no not have the GrubHub app yet, download the Grubhub app now to stay on schedule and enjoy your meal!

Convocation is a University tradition that will take place on Saturday, August 24 at 7:30 PM CT. Families are encouraged to participate from the comfort of their homes, via livestream. The in-person event is for students only.
