LEARN THE BENEFITS OF SELF ACUPRESSURE
Join us on Tuesday, March 28 at 3pm at the Village Center (2387 Warm Hearth Drive, Blacksburg), as Lora Leigh Giessler demonstrates how self-acupressure can be used at home for health improvement and maintenance. Acupressure is a technique of Tuina massage, the manual modality of Traditional Chinese Medicine, where gentle pressure is applied to points on the body along the 12 meridian energy pathways to improve the flow of Qi (life force). Acupressure activates the body’s self-healing mechanisms to treat illness and alleviate pain. Attendees will learn 10 or more acupressure points which can be implemented into a five to 10-minute at-home practice.

BOMBAS SOCKS PARTNERS WITH THE WARM HEARTH FOUNDATION
The Warm Hearth Foundation is grateful to receive Bombas socks through the Bombas Giving Program. For every Bombas item purchased, Bombas donates an item to giving partners worldwide. Bombas has donated over 40 million items to more than 2,500 community organizations. The recent donation of 1,000 pairs of Bombas socks in various sizes was distributed to residents in our Trolinger and New River House apartments, who rely on low, fixed monthly incomes and to residents receiving charitable assistance at Showalter Center and the Kroontje Health Care Center. Thank you to Bombas and all the volunteers who helped organize and distribute the socks!
