Tutoring at the ARC
Hello Tufts Jumbo,
We're introducing academic life at Tufts this week and are taking you on a tour of all your supports and resources. We've also just opened the Advising Survey for BA, BS, and Combined Degree students. Later today, look for an important letter from Health and Wellness about your health requirements this summer.

This Week's News and Announcements

Complete the Advising Survey

We've opened the Advising Survey, which all BA, BS, and Combined Degree students should complete by June 15. (BFA students, you can skip this step!) Take the survey now so we can get your academic life started!

Academics: Getting Started

There are many different fields of study at Tufts in the School of Arts and Sciences, School of Engineering, and at the School for the Museum of Fine Arts (SMFA). What's the best way to get your bearings?

Academic Advice and Support
Now that you're a Jumbo, you have a bunch of people and departments that are ready to help you make progress towards your degree. Here are the "123's" of Academic Advice and Support at Tufts.
BA, BS, and Combined Degree students will meet with their assigned Pre-Major Advisor during Orientation, and they'll help you register for courses. BFA students will meet with a member of the SMFA Advising team. SSA's are another great resource on the Medford campus and can help BA, BS, and Combined Degree students explore majors and navigate University resources.
First- and Second-Year Jumbos also have a special office to help get their college careers started. With a particular focus on underrepresented student groups, OSSA provides programming and connects students with co-curricular resources:
Looking for help with a specific subject? Need some guidance with your writing? Or would you like to talk with someone about time management and study strategies? Look no further! The Academic Resource Center offers all of the above.

Health and Wellness at Tufts

Next week we're going to introduce you to everything Health and Wellness: resources for health concerns and counseling, supports for nutrition and substance use, and information about all kinds of other services. We'll introduce you to staff and explain who you should contact for certain services.
