Housing Application June 15
Vanderbilt offers upper-division students three different types of on-campus housing: residential colleges, living learning communities, and traditional upper-division housing. Typically, transfer students are assigned to traditional double or triple rooms or vacancies in suites/ apartments on the main campus with continuing upper-division students, including resident advisers (RAs). To apply for housing, log into the Housing Portal via the Housing and Residential Experience website with your VUnetID. Once logged in, click on the Applications menu, and complete the Housing Application. Learn more about upper-division housing.

Roommate Requests June 15
Transfer students can submit roommate requests on the housing application. Roommate requests are not guaranteed, and only mutual requests are considered. You will need the requested roommate's full name and VUnetID to submit your request. Prior to requesting a specific roommate, you are encouraged to have open and honest conversations regarding living habits and preferences.

Academic or Religious Accommodation Requests June 30
New students seeking academic, dining, or transportation accommodations due to limitations related to disability should contact Student Access (SA) as early as possible or prior to June 30; however, Student Access reviews requests throughout the year.
To receive reasonable accommodations for a sincerely held religious belief or practice, you should submit the Religious Reasonable Accommodation Request Form to Equal Opportunity and Access (EOA). The form must be completed before Vanderbilt can make any accommodation recommendations. Additional information is available online.

Student Health Insurance Plan (SHIP) August 1
All students are required to have health insurance coverage and will be automatically enrolled in the Vanderbilt-sponsored Student Health Insurance Plan (SHIP) unless an approved online waiver is submitted by August 1. If you default to the SHIP policy, it will automatically be billed to your student account. The waiver requires that you submit documentation of other comparable insurance coverage. Academic HealthPlans, the plan administrator, will email you directly with comprehensive information about the waiver process. If you need additional assistance, live chat with a representative online. Plan information for the 24-25 academic year will be available online soon.
