Ordination Renewal Paperwork

This email contains the information that you need to complete your ordination renewal as a minister ordained in another tradition and Commissioned for service in the Church of the Brethren. This is for the 2020 review cycle. The link below will take you to the paperwork that needs to be printed, completed, and mailed or scanned back to the district office. It must be returned by July 15, but please care for it as quickly as possible.
If you have not yet completed the Ethics Workshop that is required for ordination renewal, there will be an opportunity on Wednesday, July 1, prior to Annual Conference in Grand Rapids, MI. If you are taking ethics training through another denomination, please send proof of completion as soon as you have done the training.
A letter will be sent to the church holding your membership in March asking them to indicate their affirmation of your continuing ordination. You may let your leadership know that this will be coming for all ordained ministers (active, retired, not-local) with membership in your congregation.
The Ministry Commission and I look forward to receiving and reviewing your paperwork. We are holding you in our prayers as you serve Christ and the Church in these days.
Pace e bene, Paz y bien, Peace and all good,
Russ Matteson, District Executive Minister
