Near the John Lewis Student Center, students gathered Wednesday for a vigil and to mourn recent violence in Israel and Gaza. President Ángel Cabrera and students offered words of support to the campus community at the event. “Many are afraid for loved ones in the region,” he said. “Know that you are not alone. We grieve with you. If you have friends affected by what is happening in the Middle East, check on them. Let them know that you support them.”
Students are also encouraged to seek support through campus services, including Student Engagement and Well-Being and the Center for Mental Health Care and Resources.
