Home monitors will be handing out the new 2025 Nutrition Calendar at your next home visit. This year, kids will get to unleash their imaginations with "Curiosity and the Cat".
Each month highlights CACFP meal patterns, best practices, snack suggestions as well as healthy recipes, nutrition tips, and table and physical activities. In addition to this valuable nutrition education resource, each month's calendar page has oversized squares for recording important events. The Nutrition Calendar & Record-Keeping System has additional pages each month for business recordkeeping.

Not all Tortilla Chips are Creditable |
All grains served on the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) must be enriched, whole grain, or whole grain-rich (WGR). Corn that has been treated with slaked lime (nixtamalized) is considered WGR in Child Nutrition Programs.
Tortilla chips made with non-grain ingredients (e.g. Cassava flour, Coconut flour, Tigernut flour, Tapioca flour, vegetables or vegetable flour, bean/nut flours) or in dessert flavors (e.g. Cinnamonsugar) are not creditable as a grain.
Tortilla chips must meet one of the following criteria to be creditable:
• Enriched with vitamins and minerals
• Made of whole corn -- (WGR)
• Treated with slaked lime (nixtamalized) -- (WGR). The following phrases indicate the corn has been treated with slaked lime (nixtamalized):
Trace of lime • Treated with lime • Ground corn with trace of lime • Ground corn treated with lime • Masa harina • Masa flour • Corn masa flour • Calcium Hydroxide

To file a program discrimination complaint, a Complainant should complete a Form AD-3027, USDA Program Discrimination Complaint Form which can be obtained online at: https://www.usda.gov/sites/default/files/documents/ad-3027.pdf, from any USDA office, by calling (866) 632-9992, or by writing a letter addressed to USDA. The letter must contain the complainant’s name, address, telephone number, and a written description of the alleged discriminatory action in sufficient detail to inform the Assistant Secretary for Civil Rights (ASCR) about the nature and date of an alleged civil rights violation. The completed AD-3027 form or letter must be submitted to USDA by:
