Dear UC Santa Barbara Community Members,

The Santa Barbara County Public Health Department (SBCPHD) has an increased supply of COVID-19 vaccines available for the next three weeks through a partnership with the Health Resources & Services Administration and the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention. All UC Santa Barbara employees, including graduate students employed by the university, are eligible to receive vaccines as individuals working in education, including higher education (Phase 1B of the California Guidelines), as are individuals ages 16 to 64 with certain significant, high-risk medical conditions or disabilities.

These Pfizer vaccine appointments are available now through the SBCPHD site https://publichealthsbc.org/community-vaccination-clinics/. Vaccinations will be administered in Lompoc through Saturday, April 3; in Santa Maria from Monday, April 5, through Sunday, April 11; and in Santa Barbara, from Monday, April 12, through Friday, April 16.

Other COVID-19 vaccine appointments continue to be available locally through the MyTurn portal and the pharmacy sites listed at https://publichealthsbc.org/vaccination-appointment-for-education-and-childcare-workers/. If you need assistance making an appointment, please call 2-1-1 and select option 4 (9 a.m. to 5 p.m., 7 days a week).

We strongly encourage all our UC Santa Barbara colleagues to obtain their COVID-19 vaccine appointments now, so we can stop the spread of COVID-19 in our community and return to campus life together. Updated information about UCSB COVID-19 vaccines and other developments can be found on our campus web pages.
