December Student Representative – Many thanks to our December student representative to the School Board, Ayonna Brunson, a senior from Franklin Military Academy, for sharing her thoughts with us during last night's meeting. Ayonna currently serves on the Color Guard, Honor Guard, and Superintendent’s Student Advisory Council; participates in the Leadership and Academic Team; and takes part in the Raiders 5k run and relays. Her many awards and recognitions include: Scholar Roll and Honor Roll, Brigade Commander, Citizenship throughout all years at Franklin, 2022-23 Knight Award for Leadership, Daughters of the American Revolution Award, Principal's Award, and multiple ribbons and commendations.
Ayonna remains active in her community through her participation in Coats for Kids, Toys for Tots, Future Business Leaders of America, work supporting the distribution of canned goods within the community, and beautification in the Franklin community.
In her spare time (when is that?!), Ayonna works as a hostess and enjoys listening to music, attending concerts, photography, and acting (for which she has received an IMDb credit). Upon graduation, Ayonna plans to join the U.S. Air Force and attend college to pursue a Doctor of Pharmacy degree. Thanks again, Ayonna!
