Important Planning Information

For Your Aggie Ring Day

Watch tx.ag/RingDayStatus for updates throughout Friday and Saturday

Howdy, Aggie, and congratulations on earning your Aggie Ring! With Aggie Ring Day starting in less than 24 hours, we wanted to share some important planning information with you. We also encourage you to forward this email to any guests who will be attending your Ring Day.
How to have a more enjoyable Aggie Ring Day
As you plan for Aggie Ring Day, there are several points we hope you’ll consider and share with your guests as appropriate.
  • To receive your Aggie Ring, you should bring your Ring ticket AND two of the following: your Ring receipt, your driver’s license, or another official ID.
This is what your RING TICKET looks like.
This is what your RECEIPT looks like.
  • Friday parking: You won’t find parking at the Alumni Center. You can park for free in Lot 100 (next to Reed Arena) with any valid A&M parking permit, or you can pay to park in the West Campus Garage (you can even pay in advance using your phone). In either case, you can then ride the free Aggie Ring Shuttle to our building. You can also park in the new Cain Garage (the Aggie Ring Shuttle will not stop at this garage).
  • Saturday: The Aggie Ring Shuttle will NOT run on Saturday. Limited free parking will be available as indicated on Family Weekend Parking.
  • You’ll spend most of your time at Aggie Ring Day outside, and you will walk a minimum of ¾ mile, in 80-degrees+, and you and your guests will probably not have any opportunity to sit down. Please consider these factors as you choose clothing and footwear, and give careful thought to the physical stamina required for you and your guests to fully enjoy the day.
  • Many more frequently asked questions are answered on our Ring Day FAQ page at AggieNetwork.com/ring/ringday/faq/.

How we will communicate delays or other changes

  • Delays or changes will be communicated to guests on-site via our public address system and by members of our staff.
  • We will also post regular status updates at tx.ag/RingDayStatus
  • You can receive status updates delivered as text messages to your cell phone by texting “follow AggieRingDay” to 40404. We promise not to use your texts for any purpose other than Aggie Ring Day status reports, and you can unfollow once Aggie Ring Day is over.
  • You can also receive our status reports by following @AggieRingDay on Twitter.
  • In the event of major delays or disruptions, we will email Aggie Ring recipients using the email address you gave us when you ordered your Ring.
Please know that we understand the importance of this day to all Aggie Ring recipients and their guests. You earned your Aggie Ring by virtue of your academic achievement, and it is our goal to have your Aggie Ring on your finger as soon as is reasonably and safely possible.
We also recognize that you may have other obligations or complications that prevent you from waiting to receive your Aggie Ring later than your planned time. In the case of delays, we will communicate other options for you to pick up your Aggie Ring or have it shipped to you.
We congratulate you on your accomplishment, and we thank you for your patience as we try to ensure a memorable day for you and more than 6,200 other Aggie Ring recipients and tens of thousands of special guests.
Thanks and gig 'em!
