On Monday, November 10, at 6–7 p.m. in the Interfaith Center, 58 Winthrop Street, S.B. Keshava Swami and Mahayaye Vineetha will lead an opening chant followed by reflections and discussion. They will share their experiences as monastics in the Hindu and Buddhist traditions, and there will be a Q&A session with opportunity to engage with the speakers and ask questions. Upcoming StAAR Center Workshop |
Coming on Wednesday, November 12, at 12 noon–1 p.m. is Writing the Introduction Section of a Scientific Paper or Thesis. Designed for advanced science writers and senior thesis writers in the sciences, this workshop will focus on the purpose of the Introduction, how it differs from other sections of a scientific paper, and strategies for writing one. Our resources are free and open to all undergraduates. Workshops are held in person on the Medford/Somerville campus.

In Conversation with Berlin Artist Sonya Schönberger |
On Wednesday, November 12, at 12 noon, join us for a conversation with Berlin-based artist and archivist Sonya Schönberger, whose work grapples with memory culture and social upheaval through found objects, installation, and archives. Schönberger will discuss her collaboration with the Berlin Stadtmuseum's oral history project Berliner Zimmer and her work using archaeological artifacts to investigate transforming German identities and culture. Senior Portraits Round 2 is scheduled for the weeks of November 10 and November 17 in Mayer Campus Center Room 112. Having your portrait taken on campus guarantees your photo in the portrait section of the 2026 Senior Memory Book. Photo packages will be available for purchase.

Support for major exploration and declaration in Arts & Sciences and Engineering continues the week of November 10. View the full schedule of Majors Month events. Please remember to schedule an appointment with your Major Advisor, Pre-Major Advisor, or designated Senior Academic Advisor to plan for your spring 2026 courses and to have your Registration HOLD lifted. Spring 2026 courses are available to view on SIS.
