Welcome to Week 2! As you navigate new classes, make connections, and balance your responsibilities, remember that it is perfectly normal to feel a bit overwhelmed at times. Please know we are here to support you every step of the way!
If you haven't already, reach out to your professors, advisors, and peers. Building these relationships early can make a significant difference in your academic experience. Also, don’t hesitate to explore the supportive campus resources available to you—including academic support (ARC, Writing Center, Math Learning Lab, Tutor.com), Campus Ministry, counseling services (CAPS), and student engagement.
Our goal is to help you thrive, not just in your studies, but in every aspect of your college life. Stay curious, ask questions, and create some goals this semester. College is a time for growth, and we believe you have the potential to achieve great things!
Getting Organized: Time management is an important part of college success. Start by using your syllabi and entering all your classes, assignments, exams, and any important deadlines into a planner or digital calendar. Don't forget to include extracurricular activities and personal obligations so you have it all in one place! This will help you keep track of your responsibilities, plan time to study, and avoid last-minute stress. Check out the ARC’s video on time management and other resources including tutoring, and peer academic coaching.
Remember that we are stronger together. Please take care of yourself and each other.

| Talk to your roommate early and often, even if you’ve known each other for a long time! Open communication about expectations for the room (guests, noise level, cleanliness, shared items) is the key to a successful living situation
