 Exploration Walk

What do animals do when it snows? Where do insects go in the winter? How do animals find food? Join Williamstown Rural Lands naturalist Dana Williams to explore winter animal adaptations at Berlin Mountain on this easy, slow-paced one-mile walk. All ages are welcome; registration is required. Sing-Along

Berkshire Opera Festival (BOF) will hold its first-ever Community Sing-Along at Zion Lutheran Church. Singers of all ages and abilities are welcome to participate. This free event will be an opportunity to sing some opera choral classics alongside BOF's chorus and members of the larger Berkshire singing community. This event is free, but registration is required. Singers will be sent music and more information ahead of time. More info

Princeton Architect

Student Show

Sat Jan 27, 6–9 p.m.
Princeton Undergraduate Architecture majors will be at the Lichtenstein Center for the Arts in Pittsfield to present their research into the legacy of Urban Renewal. Fifty years ago, Urban Renewal demolitions in Pittsfield concluded, clearing 86 acres of land and 200 structures adjacent to downtown. At Saturday's reception, a community conversation will be held around the potential for future urban infill strategies on remaining vacant land. More info

The Berkshire International Film Festival (BIFF) presents its second series of American auteur film directors at the Duffin Theater in Lenox. Howie Arkans will curate monthly discussions  followed by a film. The BIFF series, titled Cinematic Adolescence: Coming of Age Films by Auteurs, begins with John Sayles' comedy drama Baby It's You. Stand in the places where the eerie encounters occurred, listen to the first-hand accounts of those who experienced them, and maybe even experience something unusual yourself. A sit-down Conversation with Jeff Zinn, founder of Wellfleet Harbor Actors Theater, will be held at Saint James Place on Monday. GBPT Artistic Director Jim Frangione will talk with Zinn about his illuminating podcast GURUS: The Story of Acting, from Stanislavsky to Succession, and on Zinn's take on trends on American Theater.
