National Public Health Week 2025: Celebrating Community, Awareness, and Action
|
Each April, the American Public Health Association (APHA) brings together communities across the U.S. to observe National Public Health Week (NPHW)—a time to recognize the power of prevention, advocate for healthy and equitable communities, and celebrate the vital contributions of public health professionals. This year marked the 30th anniversary of NPHW, and the Department of Kinesiology’s Public Health Program at UTA commemorated the occasion with a week of dynamic events designed to engage students, faculty, and community partners in meaningful conversations and activities.
Graduating Public Health students played a central role in planning and executing NPHW activities —designing promotional materials, coordinating logistics, and leading interactive educational booths. Their leadership made NPHW at UTA not only a celebration, but a powerful call to action for the next generation of public health professionals.
