Postbac – Disqualified
Dear Student,
We are writing to inform you of a change in your academic status here at California State University, Sacramento. As a result of your Summer 2019 grades, you have been Academically Disqualified. As a doctoral, master, credential, certificate or unclassified student, the minimum Sacramento State cumulative grade point average that you must maintain is a 3.0.
- At the Doctoral level, no courses with a grade lower than a “B” (3.0 grade points per unit) may be credited toward fulfillment of the requirements for a doctorate degree;
- At the Master’s level, no courses with a grade lower than a “B” (3.0 grade points per unit) may be credited toward fulfillment of the requirements for a master’s degree, unless expressly permitted by a campus-approved graduate programs’ written policies; and
- “CR” grades are excluded in calculating grade point average.
Academic Disqualification means you are no longer eligible to attend California State University, Sacramento because your Sacramento State or cumulative grade point average is below 3.0. If you already registered for Fall 2019, and your summer status was PBM, PBED or PBCR please submit a Petition for Reinstatement to the Office of Graduate Studies.
If you need further clarification or if you believe your status is incorrect, contact Office of Graduate Studies. Check your My Sac State (http://my.csus.edu) account for any updates to your academic record through Summer 2019.
Sincerely,
Danielle Ambrose
University Registrar
