Happy October, Educators! |
October includes two weeks focused on helping students navigate the digital world: Digital Citizenship Week, October 19-23, and Media Literacy Week, October 26-30.
Both weeks remind us that students need to know how to make good choices online, think critically about the information they see, and understand how digital spaces shape the way they communicate and learn. UEN has two free, self-paced courses that can help educators bring those conversations into the classroom.

| New in eMedia: Community & Partner Resources |
UEN’s eMedia has a new hub that makes it easier to find resources from organizations across Utah.

If you’re looking for a different kind of professional learning, Edcamp Utah puts educators in charge of the conversation.
There’s no preset schedule or lineup of presentations. Instead, attendees suggest topics that morning and build the day’s sessions together. It’s a chance to talk through ideas, ask questions, and learn from other educators in a relaxed, collaborative setting.
Edcamp will take place Saturday, October 24, at Timpanogos High School and is free to attend.

Have an idea, lesson, or project you’d like to share with other Utah educators? Proposals are now open for the 2027 UCET Conference.
UCET is looking for sessions across a variety of topics, and main presenters receive free conference admission.
Proposals are due October 30.
