Stroll through Cloudbridge Reserve to a stunning waterfall, and dive into fun art workshops and plein air excursions with Gail. Plus, you'll have the chance to experience the Pacific Coast for a day, soaking up the sunshine on the endless beaches and warm waters of Ballena National Park—home to its famous whale tail sandbar. YOUR STAY + FOOD
Head to the heart of the Talamanca Mountain Range located in the south central portion of Costa Rica. It is here, nestled between wooded hills and the flowing Chirripó River that you will find Rio Chirripo Lodge, a refuge from the pressures of a busy world, a place of refreshment for mind, body and soul.   

Indulge in healthy garden-to-table meals incorporating a wide selection of locally sourced fresh organic ingredients, providing a culinary experience that will nourish, satisfy and make your Costa Rican art escape as perfect as nature intended.

  • Airport Transfers: In San José at the start and end of the retreat. 
  • Hotel Stays: First and last night in double occupancy near the airport, with complimentary breakfast. Private upgrades available.

  • Transport: Private microbus to and from your mountain lodge (scenic 4-hour drive).

If already sharing, add 450USD each to upgrade to a deluxe suite or cabin for the week. The upgrades are based on the availability. More reason to book your spot early!

In case you haven’t figured it out already, Gail is an inspiring teacher.  She has a clear approach to demystify plein air pastel painting and her enthusiasm makes learning fun. You will feel encouraged and supported.  
And what can i say about Costa Rica?  In a word ‘ Magical’.  Martine did a wonderful job organizing the logistics.  The eco-lodge was simply stunning! What a beautiful setting. The food was delicious - fresh and healthy.  The staff were excellent.  My only complaint was that I left too soon.  When I got in the van to head back to the airport,  I shed a tear and promised myself that I would get back to that eco -lodge someday.  Don’t think twice about it!
