Good morning,
I am writing to provide an update about how we will notify employees included in Wave 1 of the Job Families implementation.
Our goal is to make sure employees receive consistent information and have the opportunity to discuss the changes with their direct supervisor. To ensure uniform distribution to more than 1,700 employees, we have developed the following notification process:

- Wave 1 employees will receive an email from Georgia Tech Human Resources next week notifying them that (a) their role is moving into an equivalent role in the new job family or (b) their role requires further review and will not change at this time. - Once the notifications are sent, supervisors can begin to meet with their direct reports to discuss the individual impact. Supervisors will receive additional resources next week. Due to the winter holidays, we expect these meetings to extend through early January.

The HR Partners are submitting their final lists of employees who are WAVE 1 READY or NOT READY by close of business today, Dec. 13. That information will help us determine the exact date of the notifications and we will update you next week.

The Wave 1 position crosswalk and job profiles will be available on the Job Families website on Dec. 18. The crosswalk “walks” current JCCS position titles to an equivalent position title in the new job family. The job profile includes the job responsibilities of the role.

GTHR's Job Families implementation team is continually updating and auditing the position crosswalk and job profiles as units submit their information. As a result, updates may continue after Dec. 18.
- Individual employee information will not appear in the crosswalk.

HR Partners will begin to enter job code transactions to update employee job titles on Dec. 18. This will continue through Jan. 17, 2025. The effective date for all transactions will be Dec. 1. View the Wave 1 Transaction Guidance.
