Over the past few months, the Student Engagement Center has seen an increase in requests for winter clothing. Faculty and staff who have spare winter clothes, such as coats, scarves, gloves, mittens or hats, are encouraged to donate them to the Community Clothing Closet. The closet, which is open to faculty, staff and students, is located at the Sabatini Multicultural Resource Center, Room 102.
The SEC will accept clothing that has been washed and is free of stains, missing buttons, broken zippers, and tears. Donations can also be made via Amazon Wishlist or by delivering laundered clothing to the Sabatini Multicultural Resource Center front desk during regular operating hours.
Offices can also donate unclaimed clothing from their lost-and-found collections that have been cleaned. Employees or students who have a need for clothing should visit the closet or contact engagement@ku.edu.
