COVID-19 RELIEF EFFORT

Dear Friend in Christ:

Peace be with you.

I love humor but will be as serious as I can be here. Catholic Social Services of Southern Nebraska needs your help.

In our ongoing response to COVID-19, we have set up a COVID-19 Relief Fund. All donations will go to help those most affected by this pandemic including the hungry, underemployed, and unemployed of southern Nebraska.

Please help us continue to help the needy during this COVID-19 pandemic.

We've had to close thrift stores, lay off employees, and furlough employees in those stores. It has been sad.

Yet we have also provided crucial services to clients across Nebraska in response to the pandemic. These services include pre-packing groceries for pick-up and food deliveries to the elderly homebound. We have given rent and utilities assistance to those who have lost jobs statewide from our Imperial, Auburn, Lincoln, and Hastings offices. We will continue to give gift cards and assistance (with your help and monetary donation) from those same offices to those unemployed and who will be unemployed due to COVID-19. And we will continue to protect women and children from domestic abuse through St. Gianna Women’s Homes, as well as provide tele-health for counseling services for those suffering with anxiety, loneliness, and more during this pandemic....and hopefully beyond.

Please. I do not like to beg. But I certainly will ask because I am speaking for some folks who do not even have the means to ask.
