A Window into Campus Life

National Decision Day
On May 1, our Admissions team, including our Tour Guides and Student Ambassadors, celebrated “National Decision Day” and welcomed UP’s Class of 2023!
If you know an incoming student or their parents, now is the perfect time to reach out, welcome them to the UP family, and answer any questions that they may have about your experience. You can also encourage them to attend Orientation 2019, held August 22–25.

Next Port

Congratulations to the Class of 2019! The UP Career Center collaborated with the Marketing & Communications Department to highlight some of our seniors’ Next Ports. Learn about these newly-graduated alumni and the amazing places they are headed!

UP is open all summer!

While many students will be on break from classes this summer, UP is still open! Remind your student that most offices are open all summer and happy to help students. Click here to learn about how your student can utilize campus resources over the summer months.

Once a Pilot, always a Pilot!

Congratulations to all our Pilot families whose students recently graduated from the University of Portland. While one chapter of your UP experience has ended, another exciting chapter is about to begin. We warmly welcome you and your recent graduate to our alumni family and encourage you to discover how you can stay connected!

College of Arts and Sciences Opportunity

Is your College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) student interested in completing an internship during their time at UP? Encourage your student to consider registering for a 1 credit pass/no pass class this fall, which is designed to introduce students to internship search strategies and the career planning process. Learn more about this great opportunity!

Getting Around Portland

Is your student considering bringing a car to campus in the fall, or are you curious about the best options for how your student can get around Portland? There are several options to consider, such as public transportation, bike, car, and UP services. We encourage you and your student to review and discuss the options together.
