October 13 is the voter registration deadline for the November general election. Our NPHC Voter Registration Week begins September 14.

Located on the second floor of the University Center, the Campus Inclusion and Community Center promotes belonging, collegiality, and cultural engagement in alignment with Strategic Plan Pillar 2. The Newark Public Library hosts HRIC 25 Years: What’s next for Jersey Latinos?
The City of Newark announces its Hispanic Heritage Month Scholarship. A total of $5,000.00 in scholarships will be awarded to Latino students across all five wards. This program supports local students pursuing higher education and honors the cultural contributions of Newark’s Latino community.
The Hispanic Bar Association of New Jersey (HBA-NJ) cordially invites you to celebrate Hispanic Heritage with us at SON CUBANO on Thursday, September 25, 2026.
Ironbound Community Corporation hosts a free Hispanic Heritage Month fashion show on October 7.

Nutley Events & Clifton Events

The Nutley Free Public Library hosts special book displays and reading materials celebrating Hispanic heritage and culture in the Children's Room and Teen Area.

Hispanic Heritage month:

Hawthorne, NJ hosts their Hispanic Heritage Celebration on Saturday, October 3.
The Vernon Township 1st Annual Latin Festival takes place on Saturday, October 3, 2026, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Main Street behind the Fire House.
