United Way Volunteer Center |

YSU will kick off the United Way campaign at the new Volunteer Center. Students, faculty, staff, and Pete's Pride members are welcome to come by and help with current projects!
The new Centofanti Volunteer Resource Center is located at 8133 Market Street, Boardman, Ohio 44512.

Pete’s Pride volunteers are needed to assist with directing guests to reserved seating prior to the Skeggs Lecture featuring best-selling author and "Internet Science Guy" Hank Green on Thursday, September 26th; and Thomas Colloquium Lecture featuring tennis champion Venus Williams on Wednesday, October 23rd. Both events are being held at Stambaugh Auditorium.

Share your Penguin pride with prospective students! Alumni postcard volunteers write personal notes to encourage admitted students to join the Penguin family. The first round will go out in November this year. The postcard campaign will conclude on May 1, 2025. Click below for details and to sign-up.

Pete's Pride will participate in the United Way of Youngstown and the Mahoning Valley's monthly Satur-Day of Caring on Saturday, November 16. Volunteers unload, pack, and deliver food to more than 400 seniors, shut-ins, and families in need.
You can help unload and pack food from 8-10am, deliver food from 9:30am-12pm, or do it all – unload, pack and deliver the food from 8am-12pm.
Like our participation in Streetscape, Satur-Day of Caring is a great event for families. People of all ages attend. Standing and some physical work is required. Children are welcome, accompanied by an adult.

Volunteers are needed to offer a warm welcome and a friendly face at the upcoming Penguin Preview Day, Saturday, October 26 & Friday, November 15.
Share your positive YSU experiences with prospective students and their families as they explore all that YSU has to offer. Friendly personality and enthusiasm for YSU is a must!
Volunteers interact with guests during this large group visit day to provide direction, mingle, and assist with event logistics.

Rock The Dome:
Pete's Pride @ The Ward Beecher Planetarium

Friday, January 17 & Saturday, January 18 |
Join fellow Pete's Pride volunteers and Planetarium staff at the annual Rock The Dome Weekend! Volunteers are needed to help out in the Ward Beecher Planetarium with ushering and collecting tickets. There are multiple shifts available for both days. Standing, sitting, bending, and stooping will be required.
Volunteers will wear black Ward Beecher t-shirts. Please indicate your shirt size when registering. More details and registration can be found below.
