We are looking forward to celebrating with you this Sunday! Details about Commencement can be found on the Commencement website but we are sharing a few reminders about what you need to do this week and where you need to be and when on Sunday!
Remember to complete your checklist items to be eligible to pick up your marching card. Marching Cards are available in the Dowling Hall lobby on Friday, May 19 between 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Reminders for Commencement 2023, Sunday, May 21:
- Degree candidates should assemble in the alignment areas noted on their marching cards. Marshals at the line up areas will be available to assist you. At 8:45 a.m. the Goddard Chapel bells will begin ringing, which is a reminder that the Academic Procession will begin promptly at 9 a.m. All candidates should be ready to begin when the bells stop ringing. If you chose Braker Hall as your alignment area, we are looking for volunteers to move and line up at Miller Hall to even out the processional. If you do wish to volunteer, just go line up at by Miller Sunday morning, your marching card will remain the same.
- The Phase I All-University Academic Procession begins promptly at 9 a.m., make sure you are lined up before this time.
- Arts and Sciences Phase II department ceremonies will begin at 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Students should be at their venues 10 minutes prior to the ceremony start times to line up and begin their procession.
- Engineering students will line up for their Phase II ceremony by major on the pathway behind Goddard Chapel no later than 11:20 a.m. to allow the event to begin promptly at 11:30 a.m.
