It’s Goal Setting Season (Period Ends April 30) |
SMART goals (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-Based) enhance employee motivation and dedication to goal achievement, thereby fostering greater success. During the goal-setting phase, SMART goals and objectives are established for the performance period.
Goals represent the targets to be achieved within the annual review period. Understanding how your goals align with broader departmental objectives, strategic priorities, and the Institute's values, adds significance to your work.
Remember you can access all the documentation and resources for the Performance Management @Tech process on the website.

Exciting Opportunity: Enhance Your Leadership Skills with Our Upcoming Middle Manager Professional Development Program |
Georgia Tech is embarking on a mission to design a professional development program for middle managers. Middle managers at Georgia Tech hold managerial roles across the Institute, bridging executive leadership and frontline employees. While their titles may vary across schools, units, and research labs, they generally occupy a people-leader role between Supervisor and Executive Leader.
The Middle Management Framework will offer distinct tracks, addressing essential skills such as hiring practices, performance management, team leadership, conflict resolution, and topics related to engagement and well-being. These tracks will be tailored specifically for Georgia Tech's non-executive level people managers.
We value your insights to ensure that our program meets your needs. We're conducting a survey to identify the specific needs and preferences of managers like you. By understanding your unique challenges and performance needs, we can tailor our program to suit your learning needs. Your feedback will play a crucial role in shaping the development of our curriculum, ensuring it aligns with your goals and aspirations.
Completing this survey will take approximately 7-10 minutes. Please submit your responses by April 10.
Join us in shaping the future of middle management at Georgia Tech!
