A 19TH-CENTURY CHRISTMAS

Fort Defiance will host "A 19th Century Christmas" on Saturday, December 10th. Pre-registration and a fee of $3.00 per person are required to participate. Visitors will be able to step back in time and create period decorations, visit with a nineteenth-century Santa, decorate the tree, and enjoy eggnog, cakes, caroling, and more!

CHRISTMAS ON THE CUMBERLAND

The City of Clarksville's Christmas on the Cumberland is sure to create lasting memories this holiday season as thousands experience the captivating displays of over one million lights at McGregor Park. Admission is free and open to the public.

5:00 PM to 11:00 PM Friday-Saturday

*Lights may be off during extreme weather

GRAND OPENING CEREMONY
The traditional grand opening ceremony will be held on Tuesday, November 22 beginning at 5 PM at the McGregor Park Riverwalk and Museum. There will be food trucks on site.

YOUTH VOLLEYBALL

Parks and Recreation proudly hosts a youth volleyball league in the winter months for ages 9-14. Your child can bump, set, and spike their way through the season with a NAYS-trained coach. All games will be held at the Kleeman Recreation Center. Registration fee will include a shirt and a medal.

AQUATICS FITNESS PROGRAMS

Fitness is a large part of people's lives. It's getting cold out and trying to stay active may become very uncomfortable. Try out our aquatics programs that are drop-in or register for swim lessons!

CHRISTMAS LIGHT RUN

The City of Clarksville’s Christmas on the Cumberland creates lasting memories every holiday season as thousands experience the captivating displays of over one million lights. Now you can experience the dazzling lights in a whole new way, at the 4th Annual Christmas Light Run presented by Fleet Feet Clarksville this December! The proceeds from this event will help with the purchase of new light displays for all of Clarksville to enjoy in the holiday seasons to come.

NATIVE CIRCLE

Join members of the Native Cultural Circle at Fort Defiance Interpretive Center on November 19th for storytelling and dance demonstrations. The event is part of Native American Heritage Month November 19, 2022, 11-12:30.

CALEB CARES SWIM LEAGUE

The Caleb Cares Swim League is a super fun way for kids to get involved with the sport of swimming. We invite you to check it out, bring your friends, and compete in swim meets for awards and fun!

LIFE IS BETTER ON THE GREEN

With the cold weather here why not enjoy golfing in a warm room on some of the world's top courses?! Swan Lake Golf Course hosts Simulator Bogo nights every Tuesday and Thursday where a friend can play for free! When playing alone, for every round purchased you'll receive a 30-minute driving range session.

CAPRA ACCREDITATION

The City of Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department earned its place among the nation’s top parks and recreation agencies in September 2022 with its accreditation through the Commission for Accreditation of Park and Recreation Agencies (CAPRA) and the National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA). The department demonstrated 100% compliance with the 154 standards on which accreditation is based.
