- Whether through student organizations, leadership roles, Greek Life, or intramurals, getting involved is one of the best ways to meet people who share your interests and develop meaningful skills beyond the classroom. AND don’t be afraid to expand your social circle, spend time with different types of people, and stay open, kind, honest, and hungry to learn.
- Go to the event, the game, the meeting-these moments can shape your experience and help you feel at home on campus.
-
Your network is a valuable tool. Don’t be afraid to start a conversation — you never know the door it may open down the road.
-
College is your time to explore what you enjoy and what motivates you. Dive in, stay curious, and take every chance to learn more about yourself.
-
Your college years will go by quickly; there may be moments when intimidation tries to take over. I challenge you to embrace those moments with excitement and confidence. Trust yourself as you learn, grow, and take on new challenges. Life has a way of coming together when you put in the effort, stay kind, explore new opportunities, and reach out for support. Everything will be okay.
