During February, celebrate Black History Month with different events around campus! Kick off the month at the Blackout, where you can learn how to get involved in Black student organizations. Attend can’t-miss events like a Live Museum presented by the GVSU National Pan-Hellenic Council and the Taste of Soul event where you can eat delicious food and learn about soul food’s historical significance. With activities going on all month, you better mark your calendars!

Sex Ed Week is coming soon with lots of opportunities for open conversations about sexual health and relationships. Fortunately, it won’t be like your typical high school health class. Instead, there will be tons of fun events like workshops, a mocktail paint and sip, and STI-themed escape rooms! Learn all you need to know about all things sex in a judgement-free zone.

If you’re interested in mental health and saving lives, attend the QPR Suicide Prevention Training hosted by the University Counseling Center. Examine the issue of suicide from multiple perspectives while learning about your role in preventing suicide with other students, faculty, and staff. There will be multiple sessions throughout the semester so be on the lookout for more information!Â
