WI22 - Week 4: In-personal edition.

Real IPL effect.

Unless you’ve been living under a rock recently (and honestly, we wouldn’t blame you), you’re aware that Monday, Jan. 31 marks the return of in-person learning on campus – or “IPL IRL” as it’s probably known to the acronym-obsessives among us. In any event, welcome back!

Do ALL the things. This is not your first COVID rodeo, and we know that you know you’re supposed to test/boost/mask/screen when you’re back for real (more on these monosyllabic task asks, below), but we’d also like to remind you to extend a bit of patience, a heaping dollop of kindness, and even a dash of empathy as you and your fellow Tritons navigate an admittedly complex recipe for our safe return.

Take some shots to end Dry January.

Booster shots, Tritons, booster shots. There’s still a couple days left to get a tenner of Triton Cash (and, you know, do the right thing in support of public health) during the January 2022 Booster Bucks incentive program.

Attending class outside is in tents. Getting paid to boost, however… That’s in tens! To get your own $10 credit, you’ll just need to make sure that all vax doses show up in MyStudentChart – which means you may need to document non-UC San Diego provided boosters. Let’s ‘Tok about tests, baby.

To break down the multi-faceted winter quarter testing requirements on campus, we encourage you to check out this short, student-created video on TikTok or Instagram.

Let’s talk about you and me. For all the good things that may be, you can always refer back to updated info on our VCSA testing site and RTL’s On-Campus Checklist.

Do it before the ‘gram.

Because there’s just no telling how much a runny nose knows, remember to complete your symptom screener every day that you’re planning to physically come to campus.

Quick Hits and Bits

Wizards of ID. Lost your Campus ID card? You’ll need to request a free replacement to use our test-kit vending machines or access the afore-mentioned Triton Cash. Submit a ticket via the Services and Support Portal to get another at no charge.
Pick it up, put it on. Free KN95s are available at multiple locations on campus – keep ‘em clean and dry, and visit the link for more tips to “mask-imize” their effective lifespan.
