News

Lightspeed with the Lightboard
Take your online teaching to the next level with the Online Learning Media Studio Lightboard! The Revolution Lightboard in the OLMS allows you to stay engaged with your students in your whiteboard presentations by flipping the image in real time during recording. This lets you stay face-to-face with your viewing audience without turning your back to write on a whiteboard.

The addition of an integrated PC helps immerse students in your content as you annotate drawings, work through math equations, or follow a process.

The Online Learning Media Studio staff is on hand to help you post and make minor edits to your video once it is recorded. Reservations can be made through our Consultation Form or by calling the Online Learning Media Studio at 865-974-9450.

Helpful Tips
Can You Hear Me Now?

In creating online video, the sound is half the message, but also the most important. If students can see you, but not hear what you’re saying, your message isn't effective.
Whether you’re recording in your office on campus or in your living room at home, a few minor adjustments can mean a world of difference in the experience of your students.
The Online Learning Media Studio Team has these suggestions to make your audio recordings stand out when making content for your students.
Need a quiet place to make your recordings? The Online Learning Media Studio’s Lecture Recording rooms are available! Submit your reservation through 25Live at tiny.utk.edu/BookMac for the iMac studio or tiny.utk.edu/BookPC for the PC studio.
