Campus Closed Monday for Juneteenth
UTHSC will be closed on Monday, June 19, in observance of Juneteenth.
This is the first Juneteenth since Tennessee began recognizing the day as a state holiday. Read UT System President Randy Boyd’s letter for more information about the holiday and the new legislation.
Sign up to Volunteer with Room in
Join Memphis Street Health for one of several volunteer opportunities with Room in the Inn, a shelter that provides people experiencing homelessness a place to sleep. Volunteers are needed to make beds, serve dinner, wash linens, and clean up in the morning.
Earn Your Social Determinants of Health Certificate
UTHSC students, faculty, and staff are invited to enroll in the Co-Curricular Certificate program focusing on the Social Determinants of Health. Participants will learn about the factors that impact health outcomes and partake in service-learning opportunities.
UTHSC UNITE, OIED, and SASSI are offering SafeZone Training Tuesday, June 20, from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm in the HR Training Room in 910 Madison. Attendees will learn about LGBTQ+ identities and examine how they are treated in health care and education. Lunch will be provided!

Do you spend too much time sitting down while working or studying? UTHSC Campus Recreation offers the U-Turn Physical Inactivity Program to encourage you to get up and move around to avoid the health issues associated with long periods of sitting or lying down.
