  DENIM DAY
Denim Day is a national day of recognition reminding us that no matter what we wear, there is no excuse for sexual assault. Since 1999, it’s been one of the longest running sexual violence prevention and education campaigns in history, and you’re encouraged to wear denim today to make a social statement against the misconceptions of sexual violence.

  EAGLE ALERT
UNT’s Eagle Alert system sent a test message to students, faculty, staff and UNT System staff on Friday, April 21. Because the Eagle Alert system is intended to communicate vital, urgent information in potentially life-threatening situations, the university maintains strict criteria for initiating an alert to the community. If you are on or near campus and receive an Eagle Alert, it is crucial that you pay attention to the alert. Learn more about Eagle Alert and check your contact information at my.unt.edu. We suggest saving an Eagle Alert contact in your phone, so you'll know the source of the call 940-369-8097 or text message 89361.

  FIGHT! FIGHT! FIGHT!

The Fight Song was written in 1939 by alumnus Francis Stroup after 'Fessor Floyd Graham announced a marching song contest at a Saturday Night Stage Show. Stroup, a 1929 graduate who composed songs throughout his life, won the contest. Then he helped re-write the lyrics when our name changed to the University of North Texas. Today, we sing:

Fight, North Texas

Let’s give a cheer for U of NT, cheer for the Green and White.

Victory’s in store, but whate’er the score,

Our team will ever fight. Fight! Fight! Fight!

Shoulder to shoulder we march along, striving for victory,

Playing the game for the honor and fame and glory of UNT.

U - N - T Eagles. UNT Eagles. Fight! Fight! Fight!
