The Shorthorn is hiring

In an email sent Monday, June 2, The Shorthorn announced it is hiring. From a multifaceted staff of reporters, engagement producers, and copy editors to a multimedia team, there are jobs for a variety of skillsets. If you're interested in joining the team, please submit your application.

UTA biochemistry major Debby Sunday showcased her research at a recent American Chemistry Society conference at East Texas A&M in Commerce. Read more about how Debby and other undergraduates showcase their work with the help of the Office of Undergraduate Research which provides, tracks, and assesses informal and formalized research opportunities for undergraduate students.

Twenty-three students selected for prestigious research award 

The McNair Scholars Program is a competitive Department of Education program that prepares undergraduates for academic research careers. It gives students the opportunity to work with internationally recognized researchers while refining their analytical, writing and communications skills, which are essential for success in graduate studies. Meet our 23 students.
