One of our favorite events of the year, our annual Pumpkin Parade is a treat for the whole family! All are invited to wear a costume and parade around the library to receive goodies and prizes. Join us at West on Wednesday, October 29th from 10:30am to 11:30am or in Lakeway on Friday, October 31st from 10:30am to 11:30am. Happy Halloween!

Emily Hansen, a Certified Texas Master Naturalist and Board President of the Texas Master Naturalist Capital Area Chapter, will highlight what happens in our yards and gardens in the fall and winter. Join Hansen at West to learn how the actions you take now will impact your yard and garden in the spring and summer.

Adult Crafts: Star Weaving at Lakeway - Saturday, November 1st at 2pm |
Are you looking for a fun and mindful activity? Join host Shaye Wirth in Lakeway to learn how to weave paper stars. Your creation will directly support the One Billion Stars project, which has a global mission to promote solidarity and peace. No experience is needed, just a willingness to relax and get creative!

All are encouraged to visit the Friends of Library Bookstore to receive an American flag donated by the Sons of the American Revolution. These flags served in honor of the fallen Texas heroes at the Texas State Cemetery. Flags will be available (while supplies last) until Veteran's Day on Tuesday, November 11th.
