Alumnus Eiman Jahangir, MD, credits his experience at the UT Health Sciences College of Medicine with setting the course that led him to space. “I always had two passions. It was medicine and it was space, and I was able to pursue the second passion once I became a doctor,” said Dr. Jahangir, a cardiologist, professor, and speaker based in Nashville.

College of Nursing Expands Mobile Outreach

 

The College of Nursing is taking cancer screening directly into Tennessee communities with two new mobile health units. One van will serve urban Shelby County neighborhoods, while the other will go into Hardeman, Haywood, and Lauderdale counties to provide cancer screening evaluations, home test kits, and health education.
