Dear Alumni and Friends,
It's been an exciting and lively fall semester, and we're only five weeks into the 2024-25 academic year. In late August, we welcomed more than 4,000 new students to CSU with a New Student Convocation in Playhouse Square, followed by our VikingFEST street fair.
This month, we began discussions of our emerging strategic plan with students, faculty and staff members. This new plan will envision CSU into 2030 and how we will support today's students and the students yet to come.
And last week, we announced that we are now offering 11 new integrated degrees (further detail below). These aren't double majors or dual degree programs. These are a purposefully designed blend of curriculum for students whose paths require skills in several disciplines.
On Tuesday, Oct. 1, we will gather for our annual State of the University, during which I will speak more on our strategic planning and other exciting initiatives already underway. I can't wait to share more detail with you then.
