In a new, thought-provoking essay in Nature, UC San Diego professor of Philosophy Eddy Keming Chen explores whether the quantum Universe can be not just deterministic but also preordained, from a certain perspective, in quantum cosmology. Chen believes that if we can discover the law, we might just discover why the Universe formed the way it did.

The Sonic Arts Research and Development Group, a project out of the Qualcomm Institute that uniquely bridges Music and technology, designs new tools for immersive music and 3D soundscapes in extended reality.

"Distributed Consciousness" is a multimedia exhibition by Memo Atkin (Visual Arts) that transcends human-centered perspectives to explore ideas of collective consciousness and knowledge-building through cephalopod cognition and AI.
