Welcome, Fall 2023 Cohort of International Students!

International Student and Scholar Services (ISSS) is looking forward to welcoming you to our community and hopes that you are excited to begin your studies at Miami University, Oxford, OH, USA!
Our office assists international students with transitioning to the U.S., maintaining legal status, and making the most of their academic experience. We also provide comprehensive and on-going practical, cultural and social programs and events for students. The ISSS team and the rest of Global Initiatives are located in MacMillan Hall. The best way to connect with us is through email at international@MiamiOH.edu.

All new international students must complete the orientation program, which is comprised of:
- online modules via Canvas (Miami's Learning Management System)
- in-person sessions on Miami's Oxford, Ohio campus
Please note the following in-person orientation start dates and other important dates for new Miami international students:
- Start of Orientation for International Graduate Students
- Start of Orientation for International Undergraduate Students (First Year, Transfer, Exchange and ACE)
- Start of Fall 2023 Semester
The earliest date for students living on-campus to move-in is August 18. Students living off-campus should confirm their move-in time with the property management. You should be be moved in before the start of orientation. There will be a shuttle bus from Cincinnati Airport (CVG) to Miami, Oxford campus on Sunday, August 20. More information about transportation, arrival, move-in and check-in will be shared in future newsletters.
All new international students should plan to arrive on time to participate in the orientation program.

We understand that you have many questions about your arrival to campus. You can expect to receive this newsletter regularly in the next weeks and months, which will provide updates and instructions on how to access required online modules, arrival and schedule details, along with other useful information.
Please make sure that you are regularly checking your email inbox, (your personal email that was provided on your application for admission AND your MiamiOH.edu email), for messages from international@MiamiOH.edu and other Miami offices that will help answer many of your questions as you begin your journey to Miami University.
