Grants Applications
The National Institutes of Health (NIH)’s inaugural Science of Science Scholars pilot program is now open for those interested in applying. The goal of the program is to assist in improving the understanding of ‘NIH’s impact on research, including: contributions to biomedical research, optimizing investment in a biomedical research workforce and ensuring scientific quality, rigor and reproducibility’. The solicitation is available and the application deadline is January 31, 2025.

Research Security
The Department of Energy (DoE) published a new memo outlining the DoE’s ‘approach to Research Technology and Economic Security (RTEs) risk for financial assistance and loan activities’. Two webinars introducing the DoE’s approach and opportunities to answer questions are available on the RTES website. Registration is open for both webinars - December 11, 2024 at 2pm CT and December 16, 2024 at 1pm CT.
