   GOIN' BOWLING  
Our record-breaking Mean Green football team has accepted an invitation to play in the 2025 Isleta New Mexico Bowl in Albuquerque. They will take on San Diego State from the Mountain West Conference at 4:45 p.m. Central Time on Saturday, Dec. 27, at University Stadium. The game will be broadcast on ESPN.

On Monday, Dec. 8, Neal Brown was introduced as UNT’s 21st head football coach in a press conference at DATCU Stadium’s HUB Club. His appointment was announced Dec. 2.

   TASSEL TIME    
Congratulations, Class of 2025! Commencement ceremonies begin at 8 a.m. Friday, Dec. 12, and continue through Sunday afternoon. Refer to the Fall 2025 Commencement schedule for details. Share UNT’s Clear Bag Policy with guests attending the ceremonies, and be aware that metal detectors will be used.

   GRAMMY GREATS    
UNT and the College of Music once again celebrate our alumni whose work has garnered Grammy nominations!
  • Lecrae had work nominated in two categories: Best Contemporary Christian Music Album and Best Christian Contemporary Performance/Song.
  • Tito Charneco, a doctoral student working on his third UNT degree, played tenor sax on an album nominated for Best Latin Jazz Album.
  • Amanda Ekery was nominated in the Best Album Notes category.
The 68th annual Grammy Awards airs Sunday, Feb. 1, on CBS and streams on Paramount+.

   WINTER BREAK REMINDERS    
Check these items off your Winter Break to-do list:  
  • Return rented textbooks or materials by the vendor’s deadline.
  • Unused Dining Services Flex expires Thursday, Dec. 12.
  • UNT residence halls close for Winter Break Thursday, Dec. 12. Leave your dorms clean and unplug electrical items left behind.
  • Final grades will be posted on your Official Transcript by Wednesday, Dec. 17.
  • Complete your 2026-27 FAFSA application by the priority deadline, Thursday, Jan. 15.
  • Apply for scholarships during Winter Break! Visit the Eagle Scholarship Portal and find more info about UNT scholarship resources.
  • Follow UNT Transit on Instagram for bus service schedule changes.
  • Check Pohl Rec Center hours.
