Paddle Smart: Staying Safe on Standley Lake

Before hitting Standley Lake to paddle board or kayak this summer, the Westminster Fire Department wants you to be aware of some guidelines to keep you and your family safe while out on the water.

Watch Lieutenant Shawn Caswell and his paddle-boarding pup Beryl as they share some simple safety steps to remember while enjoying Standley Lake this season.

Summer Passport Challenge

You don't have to travel far to experience the best that summer has to offer! Take part in our Summer Passport Challenge by participating in different City programs and events to collect stickers in five exciting categories: nature, wellness, civics, learning, and arts.

Collect stickers to earn awesome prizes, including a grand prize of $2,000 to put toward an extended trip booked through the City of Westminster's Parks, Recreation & Libraries Department.

Emergency and Essential Home Repair Program

The City's Emergency and Essential Home Repair (EEHR) Program now provides up to $10,000 in eligible home repairs to income-qualified, owner-occupied households in Westminster. From start to finish, repairs can be completed within weeks after a resident begins the application process.

Free Summer Lunch Program

In partnership with Westminster Public Schools, the City is once again serving free lunch to children and youth ages 18 and under. Lunches are available Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at several locations until August 2. Learn more and find locations.
